Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 2026
1. About Us
Think Safeguarding provides safeguarding consultancy, training and professional support to organisations working with children and young people, including schools, colleges, sports clubs and community organisations.
These Terms and Conditions explain the basis on which we provide our services.
2. Our Services
We offer a range of services, including safeguarding audits, staff training, DSL supervision, policy development and review, workshops and bespoke consultancy.
We recognise that every organisation has different needs. Our services and packages are therefore tailored to each client and agreed in writing before work begins.
The specific services, costs, timescales and any additional requirements will be confirmed in an individual quotation or written agreement.
3. Bookings and Payment
A booking will be confirmed once the scope of work, fees and arrangements have been agreed in writing.
Our fees will be confirmed before the work begins. Any additional costs, including travel expenses or work outside the agreed scope, will be discussed and agreed with the client in advance.
Invoices must be paid within the payment period stated on the invoice or agreed in writing.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
We understand that circumstances can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking, please contact us as soon as possible.
Any applicable cancellation charges, notice periods or rescheduling arrangements will be agreed in writing at the time of booking. These will be reasonable and proportionate to the work undertaken and costs incurred.
If Think Safeguarding needs to cancel or reschedule a service, we will notify the client as soon as reasonably possible and work with them to arrange a suitable alternative. Where an agreed service cannot be provided, any refund due will be handled in accordance with the booking agreement and applicable law.
5. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate information, relevant documentation and reasonable access to staff or other resources needed to deliver the agreed service.
Clients must inform us of any relevant safeguarding procedures, confidentiality requirements or specific circumstances that may affect delivery.
Organisations remain responsible for their own safeguarding arrangements, decisions and statutory duties.
6. Safeguarding and Confidentiality
We treat information shared with us professionally and sensitively. Information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and our Privacy Policy.
Confidentiality will be maintained wherever appropriate. However, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed where information needs to be shared to protect a child or another person from harm, comply with the law or meet other applicable safeguarding obligations.
Any safeguarding concerns identified during our work will be handled in line with relevant procedures and legal responsibilities.
7. Training Materials and Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, training materials, resources, documents and other content created or supplied by Think Safeguarding remain our intellectual property or that of the relevant rights holder.
Clients may use materials for the purposes agreed as part of their package. Materials must not be reproduced, sold, distributed externally or adapted for commercial use without prior written permission.
8. Scope and Limitations of Our Advice
Our services are designed to support organisations in strengthening their safeguarding practice. Our advice and recommendations are based on the information available and the agreed scope of work.
While we aim to provide accurate, practical and up-to-date guidance, our services do not replace an organisation’s own safeguarding responsibilities, professional judgement or legal obligations.
We do not guarantee that any audit, training session or consultancy service will identify every safeguarding risk or prevent every safeguarding incident.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
9. Website Content
The information on our website is provided for general information purposes. While we take reasonable steps to keep it accurate and relevant, it should not be treated as a substitute for advice tailored to your organisation or circumstances.
We may update website content from time to time.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions when necessary. The version applicable to an agreed service will be the version incorporated into the relevant booking or agreement, subject to any changes agreed in writing and applicable law.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales, subject to applicable legal requirements.
